Had a bit of a scare today when my blog disappeared for a half hour or so this afternoon. Just a big white empty page (some would say that's a significant improvement.) I called Go Daddy tech support and they told me that they were aware of the problem but weren't sure when it would be solved. I really thought that best case scenario they had a backup that was probably a few weeks old and I'd lose a couple dozen posts, but just as suddenly as it vanished, it reappeared, intact. Happy me.
My Dad and birth mother both had surgery this week. Get well soon!
Rove gone. Gonzales gone. Snow gone. A good start. Spineless Dems in Congress are still going to let the Republicans set the agenda and frame the debate for the next year and a third. Discouraging, but idealism and party politics have never mixed well.
Saw The Lives of Others tonight (not entirely by choice.) It held my interest but wasn't terribly realistic and dragged in parts.
Played 5 boards against George and Stacy Jacobs tonight. That was fun. Hopefully next time I'll have a decent partner around.
Listened to Britney's new single Gimme More today. It's kinda catchy.
Are you ready for some Football? College football kicks off tomorrow. (I can't believe it's September already.)
