With a quarter to go, Nowlan withdrew down 71 against Molson. 

I don't get teams that withdraw from a match.  Miracles happen.  You learn a lot more from failure than you do from success.  Quitters never win ... If you played bad enough to let the other team score 69 IMPs in 16 boards, maybe the opponents will return the favor in the next 16.

Still, just getting to the quarters was a good showing for Nowlan, which was probably the darkest of the dark horses among the final 8.

Thurston up 3 on Todd.  Chevalier up 9 on Ballantyne.  Bowman up 19 on Frukacz.

The Sens lost to the Ducks again tonight.  1-0.  Sigh.

I bet they don't withdraw.
