So this is the 4th hand of the '4 hands in a row' series.  I'm in a crappy mood because the Sens lost game 1 and I didn't even get to see it (I tried watching it online on CBC but that only works if your IP address is in Canada.)  The CBF is still doing a horrendous job of updating the CNTC results in a timely manner.  Dan and Susie's blog usually has them up first.

It goes 1 Spade on your left, 2 Spades on your right.

I think double followed by Heart bids until everyone else passes is normal.

Jeff chose the huge underbid of 3 Hearts.  If his void was in Spades, I'd understand it but I don't think it's a wise choice here.  I guess he figured that it was unlikely to go all pass.  I'm not so sure.  The opps might have an 8 card fit (give me 3-2-5-3 or 3-1-5-4 shape and a 3-5 count) no shortness and right around half the deck.  Why wouldn't they sell out to 3 Hearts?  Maybe he was 'walking the dog'.  I think he forgot his leash.

His gamble worked out okay and his Lefty bid 3 Spades.  I raised him to 4 Hearts.

He then made the practical bid of 6 Hearts.  Sure, 7 might be cold or 6 might have no play, but finding out what he needed to know wasn't likely to happen.

He bought a nice dummy:

There was no squeeze, but +980 was good for 9 IMPs and change.  +2070, missed game, +980, +1430 in consecutive boards ... quite a set.
