Happy Birthday, Bunny!

Time once again for my weekly 'anything goes' post.
Today is my ex's 37th birthday (no, I didn't date Karla Homolka, they were just born on the same day.) Happy Birthday Danielle!
I watched the Republican debate last night. The 3 clowns who don't believe in evolution and the guy who thinks it's ok to fire someone just because he's gay should be disqualified from the next debate. I liked Ron Paul before the debate and it's not surprising that he's still my guy on the Republican side. There's something about people who have principles and stand by them that appeals to me. This guy supports the constitution, limited government, a free society. That means low taxes, yes, but it also means cutting government programs. Republicans are happy to do the first, but incapable of doing the second. I used to lean strongly towards the Republican party and was a huge fan of Newt in 1994 (I've never been socially conservative, but always fiscally conservative) but over the last 10 years they've gradually become the party of fear-mongering, preemptive warring, science ignoring, election-rigging, witch-hunting, incompetence, torture, domestic spying, corruption, religious bigotry/zealotry, xenophobia, nation-building, pork barreling and demagoguing.
I'm playing a session with Adam tomorrow in the Austin Sectional. Should be interesting. We had a practice set tonight and ironed out a few wrinkles so hopefully we'll do ok.
One of the few TV shows I watch is 24. It's been really bad this year; they've run out of ideas and so they're using all the nutty ideas from seasons past that they previously rejected due to lack of plausibility. It was a great run while it lasted, but I hope this is the last season.
The Ottawa Senators are one win away from the Conference Finals. They play New Jersey tomorrow night. Go Sens!
