I think I need to invent a new category, 'Ugly' doesn't quite do justice to the set I just had.  I stunk, Jeff stunk, the opps were pretty solid and after 32 boards were finished, we were 86 IMPs in the glue.

First board out of the box:

2nd seat:

AK84 7543 T QT98

4th seat:

Q763 KQ98 Q9876 -

Auction

1 Club P 1 Diamond X

1 Heart 2 Spades P P

3 Clubs Double Float

-470 is not a good way to start a team match (they were cold for an uptrick, but slipped)

I was in 2nd seat, Jeff in 4th.  I felt like 2 Spades was uber conservative (I didn't like my heart holding when opener rebid 1 Heart) and double was 100%, even at IMPs.  Choosing to defend at the 3 level with a trump void and a known fit after making a takeout double on a 9 count with a pard limited to 10 points max would not have been my choice, but maybe I'm resulting.
